First, both are two separate entities and both have different style of effects and progress.

Cardio burns more calories compared to weight lifting.

Weight lifting has higher resting metabolism rate compared to Cardio.

Cardio has better blood circulation and heart pump compared to WeightLifting.

Cardio increases energy , weight lifting do increase bone density

Cardio improves mood and decrease stress, weight lifting helps to strengthen lungs and increase muscle mass

Endurance is targeted by Cardio whereas Strength was targeted by weight lifting

So finally the best conclusion would be taking both in standard rates.

3 days of strength training, 2 days of cardio standards and 1 high intensity cardio session - if you are a weight lifting person.

3 days of cardio, 2 days of strength training - if you are a cardio person
