What is Snoring?

Sound/Noise created by Humans when they rest/sleep.



Why do we snore?

During sleep, all muscles of our body contract and relax in repeated motion which applies the same for our throat muscles.

Its common that when air flows in free medium, it flows easily to the other side, and it don’t vibrate and cause any noise/sound. But whereas when the air flows in compressed/tight medium, it will vibrate and causes noise/sounds.

The same reaction happens in our throat, when we inhale and exhale oxygen during sleep. Soft palate and airway muscles contract and relax and acts as compressed medium for the oxygen.

Why for specific peoples alone?

Multiple factors comes into picture, when we thought why we do snore.

1. Mouth Anatomy/Genetics

2. Alcohol consumption

3. Nasal problems

4. Sleep deprivation 

5.Sleeping position

How to overcome Snore?

Of Course, Snore is not a good sign of healthy condition.

Some of the below remedies, which helps to overcome snore and lead a healthy lifestyle.

1. Quit smoking and alcohol

2.Reduce overweight, if you are. Keep your BMI ideal.

3. Get adequate amount of sleep, and follow the same sleep pattern for all days of the week.

4. Sleep on your side and not on back, raise the height of the bed 4 inch to 6 inch.

5. If the condition is severe called sleep apnea, the ideal treatment would be CPAP. Consult with any experts/doctor and get the recommendation/prescription successfully.
